SIZA DISBURSES THE FIRST LOANS IN FINETOWN
On 18th August 2015 Siza Capital will be disbursing the fist batch of small business loans to women in Finetown, a township South of Johannesburg. Finetown, just like many similar areas, is a township that has been grossly under-serviced by the financial sector.
The loans will benefit women involved in various income generating activities including Day care centers. The disbursement will take place at Fine Town community hall. Other loans to be disbursed include entrepreneurs from Freedom Park involved in school transport, meat market and urban agriculture. The Fine Town loans follow a successful disbursal of a pilot loan in the area where an urban agriculturalist was funded by Siza to sink a borehole, purchase a water pump and install electricity to support her organic vegetable farming business.
